Lee’s work is cinematic in scale yet intimate in tone, combining strong composition with a warmth that invites narrative and emotional connection. Shaped by over 25 years of commercial practice, his work began in Newcastle during a period of profound social and urban change, where documenting community, culture, and regeneration became central to his work.
Alongside commissions across arts, industry, education, health, and the public sector, Lee’s photography has been exhibited and published internationally, with projects taking him across Europe, China, India and the USA. Today, his work continues to explore place, time, and atmosphere, creating images that feel lived-in, reflective, and quietly cinematic.
